Can we just use hashtaging "#" ? Hashtagging will not work when you are not on the same platform (website). Hashtagging is popular on some of the social media websites like imstagram or twitter. Hashtagging allows people to give their posts or tweets a common name. That was when other search it by hashtag can see those posts to search the topics of same interests. So if a post is Hashtagged by someone on instagram can only be searched by others who are on instagram. Another problem is the people can hastag posts not relate to the topic. Why? say if a hastag is going viral so people who are selling something will hastag their posts with same tage nt to contribute to the topic rather to sell something.
